Competitor Monitoring: Amazon, Experian Hitwise and Paypal: Speakers At Internet Retailing Expo
The 2nd Internet Retailing Expo (IRX) will take place at the NEC in Birmingham on March 21st and 22nd.
IRX 2012 includes four free-to-attend conference, workshops and Expo aimed at multichannel online retailers – visitors can meet 150 leading suppliers to eCommerce and multichannel retailers covering topics such as marketing, operations, technology, payments, checkout, mobile, logistics, marketplaces, display and store.
IRX blends marketing with technology, logistics with customer-facing design, mobile with in-store experience. In addition to the four conferences and workshops, there is the Innovation Pavilion incorporating demonstrations on products and services launched in the last 12 months and many networking opportunities.
Sponsors include Amazon, Ciao, Certona, Efficient Frontier, Intershop, Liveperson, Paypal, Reevoo and Ukash. Exhibitors include Adobe, Avail, Colbenson, ClickTale, DHL, dotMailer, Ogone, Sagepay and many more.
Mark Pigou, organiser of Internet Retailing Expo 2012 told Profitero, “First there was eCommerce, then mCommerce and now fCommerce and tCommerce, reflecting the growing influence of – respectively – mobile, Facebook and television in the multichannel mix. We could also, perhaps, talk about p-commerce, for the increasing number of marketplace options or d-commerce, for manufacturers going direct to consumer.”
What is certain is that the number of channel options will not decrease and that successful businesses will need to have a stake in as many of them as possible, he explained. IRX provides an ideal opportunity to catch up with many of these developments.
